Textile artist and educator based in Oban. Work explores living and non-living, human and non-human elements of landscape. Using hyper-local raw materials to create textile work which resonates with place and time.
Co-Lead of EcoCreative Cluster a project based in Oban which connects practitioners using natural materials especially natural dyes. Centred around the creation of a community dye garden in Oban (now in its 5th year) and a series of on-line conversations with international practitioners (12 recorded conversations available on The Rockfield Centre’s YouTube channel).
Teaches workshops (groups and 1-1) in handspinning, natural dyeing, botanical printing, knitting and stitching in own studio and at venues and textile festivals across Scotland and internationally. Regular guest tutor at Shetland Wool Week, Icelandic Knitting Festival.
